Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby Meals on Wheels delivers a modern menu that provides a choice of over 70 meals. We cater for a range of cultural tastes and dietary requirements, including international choices and vegetarian options.
We believe that food is made to be enjoyed. Our meals are freshly prepared with wholesome ingredients to meet the nutritional needs of older Australians and our kitchen boasts a NSW Food Authority ‘A’ rating. We cook our food as you would at home, delivering the comfort of home style cooking to your doorstep.
What sets us apart from other meal delivery services is the option to order a freshly prepared Meal of the Day – the meal is cooked in our kitchen using select ingredients and delivered to your home warm or chilled. See our Meal of the Day menu here.
Head chef – Tony Lyons
Tony Lyons, our Head Chef, has been catering for our Meals on Wheels customers for almost 20 years. He came to help out for three months, and decided to stay so he could really make a difference in the local community.
With his extensive experience in developing menus, Tony continues to evolve the range of meals and respond to client requests and changing tastes. He was a lead contributor in the team that developed the National Meal Guidelines for Meals on Wheels, which all of our organisations Australia-wide follow.
